This past weekend, a few of my friends (myself included) decided to try out the "
Lunchbox Laboratory" in Ballard. It's a newish burger joint with the best burgers I've had in my entire life. In fact, the 4 other people accompanying me agreed they were just as great.
Peter, Chris and I had actually traveled there a few weeks earlier when we read about it in Seattle's
Stranger. We loved it then and wanted to go back.
Unfortunately, this visit was after
The Seattle Times had written about it. Now everyone in Seattle wanted to go.
Upon arrival, we raced to the entrance to make sure the people parked near us didn't "out-white" us by getting there first. Then, after we got in line, we noticed that the white people we raced included
Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbacks, his wife(?) and some random dude.
The point of the story is that he decided to leave after seeing the line. I guess I'll leave the next time I'm in line at Starbucks. I don't care how good the coffee is, speed it up Howard!
